Diving on the WWII German U-boat the U-853 on 5/29/11. Diving from the Canned Air dive boat through GIant Stride Dive Shop. The U-853 was sunk by U.S. forces the day after the end of hostilities was declared in 1945. Apparently the U-boat either did not get the message or chose to ignore the order. She was sunk 5 May 1945.
