well this clears it up a little bit. for those of you who didnt understand it at first (LIKE I DID) heres how it REALLY works: your math book will say: f(x)=2x+1 find f(10)
f is the function, whatever is on the other side of the "=" tells you what it does to the number. so it would look like this: f(10)=2(10)+1 which equals 21. it's interesting and not well explained by the books and vids on here.
