On November 11, 2008 take one minute, to silently remember the sacrifice so many have made.
"It was during that minute in nineteen hundred and eighteen, that millions upon millions of human beings stopped butchering one another. I have talked to old men who were on battlefields during that minute. They have told me in one way or another that the sudden silence was the Voice of God. So we still have among us some men who can remember when God spoke clearly to mankind."
Kurt Vonnegut
Then actively pursue peace in your homes, your neighbourhoods, your nations, our world. Do not let the sacrifices be in vain.
"Of all our dreams today there is none more important - or so hard to realise - than that of peace in the world. May we never lose our faith in it or our resolve to do everything that can be done to convert it one day into reality."
Lester B Pearson
Thank you for reminding us all of this important day of remeberence.
