My Baby Don't (Love Me) Ukulele original

I have been listening to a lot of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, BB King, and Jellyroll Morton just lately. Can you tell? Can you? Can you?

This song (and another one that I'll post at a later date) came about partly through my listening to a lot of that type of music recently and partly from a frustrating attempt to do an easy arrangement of Nat King Cole's Let There Be Love for ukulele. As many of you know, I'm not very good with the dots and squiggles of music and I compose and arrange by listening and playing. So, as I was playing Let There Be Love and trying to simplify the finger positions I stuck in the riff I used for this song in place of the little piano riff at the end of the vocal section until I could get around to working out a better one. After playing it several dozen times, I fell in love with it and composed a 12 bar blues-ish tune around it. Several attempts at my usual style of lyric sounded odd with the tune, so I opted for a standard blues style lyric and this is it.

Played on my Mainland mango soprano and acoustic bass.
