In this edition of Radio Video, WXPN's General Manager Roger LaMay ponders what it would be like to be stuck on an island with an iPod that only contained 10 songs. See the staff re-enact this scenario in a Gilligan's Island episode. Join us starting September 29th for the playback of the 885 Desert Island songs and listen to what the listeners voted as the songs they couldn't live without.

  • gees wat a cheap rip--trying to use the awesome success of gilligans island to try and get me to cough up some cash.. the real gilligans island cast never did this. dont blame us if yr station sux and you go bust--bad freaking luck--go pick up cans for a living and get off our backs turds.. you owe me money for posting this crap and wasting my valuable time turd munches.

  • Thank Goddi aka Gotti aka John Gotti (God) it's over. It turned into a lovefest for:

    Bob Dylan

    Bruce Springsteen

    The Beatles

    Van Morrison

    Joanie Mitchell

    R. Stones. It was the ultimate 'sado-masochistic tango'. Thank Gotti we are not stuck on the same desert island as these flunkies (XPN staff and voters). They have no ear for music. Number One is the predictable, impudent, ear-blasting and satanic: "Thunder Road." The Boss and XPN are corporate; corporatism is what they stand for.

  • It's Wednesday--more junk: Tom Waitz, 23minute Grateful Dead riffs----unfriggin' real.

  • Nothing's changed. Would rather see XPN fold instead of pledging any monies. This list has become a low budget horror movie. Millions of songs have been recorded since the beginning but XPN keeps coming up with stuff that wouldn't make a normal person's top 885,000.

  • WXPN is running its top 885 songs to have while stranded on a desert island (as voted by listeners). This list is pathetic and ridiculous. It's so crazy that it's almost funny. One has to wonder why this station is dedicated to sado-masochism. And no one here seems to be aware of the list, which, if genuine, proves the voters are as nutty as the station folq.

  • I like you guys as radio personalities. :)

  • Love it! WXPN rules! Especially Land of the Lost! :)

  • nice

  • not uh.

  • This is AWESOME. You have our support, as always!!!!

(Do I see an Emmy in DJ Robert Drake's future?)
