At 14 years old I don't think a young guitarist could have a better role model then Colin Meloy. Or the decemberists for that matter. They are my favorite band, and any chance i get to see them I will take in an instant. I only wish everytime I play one of their songs on the guitar that I could jam with Colin and the guys. Could it happen I don't know. But all I know that there is no better group to model yourself after then the Decemberists.

I just got the CD today. (a day before it's official release) and it's perfection. after every song i think to myself "this is my new favorite song."
