@nerdymom2 u mad? lol I love animals too but Humans are designed to eat meat, it's a key part of our diet. There are plenty of other atrocities that we have committed of course, so perhaps you are right in saying we probably deserve to die.

If we could avert an asteroid strike, something else will get us. When our number is up it is up. Personally, I would prefer being vaporized over dying from some painfull viral infection.

Children, If you had paid due attention during the years of your schooling, you would have learned something about kinetic energy. Since force is dependent upon mass and velocity, (also kinetic energy dictates force), (and since the velocity of the meteor was +/- 40,000 MPH and was 7 miles in diameter) the kinetic energy that was released by the rock in this video was more than enough to do do just as the video has shown. Nasa knows what is up indeed, (in addition to the stars)

@TheMetaldriger apparently, this "small thing" causes this so thing to be so big cuz it has a big mass and travels at a rlly high speed. kind like throwing a rock into the puddle. the faster it goes, the bigger the splash
