Solid funk classic. Please let me know who the original player was and I'll edit the details.

  • OH-Paul Jackson played guitar - YES !! Though "Jamerson" is one of the best ever-a hero of mine, I wrote the bass line, groove and chords at 3:00am in the morning-just bought the Oberheim OBXa - I was inspired.Guess I have some "brother" in me in my past We had up to 120 covers ( bass line and chords ) by "Biggie" ( Mo Money) , Tupac (Hit Em Up) , Ili Wayne, Snoop Dog , The Nylons, M-Trance (last 2- the whole song)etc. We are GREATLY honored-must give the real credit to the MASTER WRITER !!

  • My name is Duane HItchings and I wrote the bass line and chords too "Don't Look Any Further" , My co writers who wrote the melody and lyric where Frannie Golde ( wrote big R&B hits) and Dennis Lambert ( producer of the Temps and many others). Dennis Lambert and I both had Oberheim OBXa's and I think I dumped the bass line and chords directly off my OBXa, Oberheim sequencer and drum box . Dennis Lambert played the high chopped riff and and I forgot the guitar players name - Jackson ?? Bad ass !

  • You KILLED this! Niiiiice...

  • want a tab =(

  • the classic bassline is from james jamerson jr

  • it's hard i tryed You got down......!!

  • Yawn.......

  • Nice, I like how he put his own twist in it from the 1:28 - 1:50 minute mark. Not quite the original, but I have been trying to get that beat down on my bass for a couple of months now.
