Did you happen to notice the grand piano with lid fully open? Also, see where he is standing in relation to the piano? Therein lies part of the balance problem with dynamics of the flute competing with the piano. I can't imaging him being able to hear himselft in this situation if he actually played it pp, and ppp. It's often best to stand further left for a piece like this and shut the piano lid at least to 1/4 height.

Signori....capisco che si possa criticare una esecuzione ma qua stiamo parlando di un ragazzo di quasi 23 anni che ha tutto il tempo davanti per crescere musicalmente. Secondo me se non si monta la testa e ha sempre voglia di migliorarsi può diventare davvero un grande flautista. Continua così Matteo!

Bravo pour ce doux moment de musique. Le flutiste est très bon mais la pianiste est exceptionnelle... Quel sens du phrasé et de l'accompagnement... Félicitation !!!

Perfection? Do you know the score? The "perpetuum mobile" has to be played "pp" all the time,and the end is "ppp" He plays at least "mf". It is written on the score. And the "notturno" is not poetical at all.
