1950 Land Rover Series One, Tickford # 400
I've had the pleasure to drive one of the rarer versions of a Series One a few years ago, the Tickford Station Wagon. This vehicle in it's original state, unmolested, unmodified is vehicle number 400.
Apparently if you talk with the older folk within the Land Rover circles in Sweden, there should be another Tickford in Sweden. They claim that back in the early days that the Swedish Military would always procure two of any special ordered vehicles, therefore there is the possibility of another hiding away somewheres in the depths of Sweden.
This Tickford could have been a ceremony vehicle or a commanders car, which could be the reason why it's never been altered from it's original state.
This Tickford at the time was not registered for the road, thats the reason why it was confined to just the back yard. .......
Anyways it was still fun driving a piece of Land Rover history.
Enjoy.
It's great to see it running! A few years ago I was involved in that car, and the red fire truck you see in the background at the end of the movie. If I have had the money back then... wishful thinking...

@kirefiel
I know what your saying, If I only had the money to!
Apparently the Tickford is now in dry storage waiting for a possible restoration.
Cheers.
