  • Brings back a lot of great memories. I liked Don Muang because of the more convenient location. Unfortunately, the old airport pretty much ran out of room to expand. It's still used, but on a much more limited basis.

  • its still in use, i saw planes at the airport while passing by it on a highway during my holiday.

  • @ScottyHale It did initially close to all flights, but not for long. I flew in to Don Muang in Sept 06 and flew out from Suvarnabhumi in Oct 06 so can remember it all happening. They ended up re-opening Don Muang a few months later as they were having issues with subsidence at the new airport. But then who thought it'd be a good idea to build an airport on what originally looked like a giant padi field??!

  • I used this airport to fly to Udan Thani in Nov of 08.

I dont think it's closed for domestic flights, just international flights.

  • nice landing!..

  • cool n a bit exciting....thought of the first time i was landing there on my first trip to bangkok!!

  • smooth landing, nice
