NASA tests next-generation moon rovers in Arizona desert

NASA's Desert Research and Technology Studies, or Desert RATS, have tested next-generation rovers and robots in the Arizona desert.

NASA engineers, astronauts and scientists from across the country gathered at the testing site on Wednesday.

Mike Gernhardt, NASA astronaut and manager of the rover project, said the experts simulated a planetary exploration mission and studied the possibility of operating the dual rovers.
