  • Cash For Clunkers....What an American tragedy...Such a waste...This is intrinsic to the wasteful thinking that comes with the Democratic party.

  • That's why the government shouldn't even be in the business of destroying cars. Stupidity at its finest. Obama hates America.

  • @aagraber45 ...obama really has done quite a job fixing the economy....have you realized yet that the dems and repubs are bought and paid for by the same controllers??? only after you wake up from your blind allegiance of these two management teams vying for control of slavery incorporated (us) will you realize that it has all been a sham from the beginning

  • @quadzillaryder Well, that is what the computer on the Aurora says it is doing, and that is what the fuel fill up/miles calculates to. The mile calculator (the trip meter on the computer) seems to be pretty close, too. I have a motorcycle that is about 10% off, and it looks like I am getting good fuel mileage, but not really, since for every 100 miles the odometer shows I am going, I am actually only going 90 miles. Age (miles on the car) seems to have given it better mileage.

  • DUDE- no v8 gets 30mpg- are u nuts? the most a v8 can get right now is 26mpg- and thats with the latest tech out there,

  • cash for clunkers was good- it was a quick way of gettin rid of ur old car- IF YOU WANTED TO- no one forced you to do it--it help the economy- it got banks lending out loans- got people in newer efficent cars-

  • @gotveggieoil Yeah, I bought my 1996 F-350, 7.3 with 280k miles on it. I get upwards of 18+mpg on the highway, which is better than a lot of new gasoline powered pickups. Now, it has 411k miles on it. I couldn't afford a new pickup like that. I got mine for under $4000. New would cost me $45k - $55k, and probably wouldn't even be as reliable.

  • @Rockhorns76 Right! And then you get scammed by the car dealer when they raise the price of the vehicle $4500.

  • Government subsidy = theft from someone else. Another video showed the destruction of an Oldsmobile Aurora with 240k miles on it saying it only got 17mpg. My Olds Aurora gets up to 30mpg highway, with the 4.0 v-8, and it has over 260k miles on it. Here again is the government being a big problem. Destroying good cars while robbing some people to help them get a new car.

  • @squashpup and I think now America hates Obama...I know I do...

If he gets re elected, I am moving to Canada or England...

  • is this a passed law? or is it people who want an easy way to get their hands on a new car?

got a volvo 1988 with 42,000 original miles 20ish to the gallon, the uk made a non compulsary scrappage scheme, and i don't know anyone who went ahead and did that, to be honest though its rare to see a car older than 10 years old right now in uk

  • the gal in the yellow top is hot yummy
