Hi,
This is the FIRST YouTube video will show you how to FIX YLOD ON PS3 FAT/SLIM using BIRD BGA 5000 from Dragon Group China (DGC).
I tried to show ANY BGA rework station temperature scale or working profile for PS3.
VERY IMPORTANT:
DIFFERENT REWORK STATIONS USE DIFFERENT SETTINGS AND HAVE DIFFERENT OPTIONS. BUT, WORKING PROFILE OR TEMPERATURE SCALE IS THE SAME REGARDLESS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
BECAUSE AS PER THE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS LAW AROUND THE WORLD, ALL THE BGA CHIP (INCLUDING LAPTOP, TELEVISION ETC. ETC) USE NON-LEADED SOLDER. AND THE MELTING POINT FOR NON-LEADED SOLDER IS AROUND 217-220 DEG CELSIUS, DEPENDING ON YOUR SURROUNDING TEMPERATURE.

hi can you tell me what temp u had the preheater and top heater and how long u had it on for thanx i not sure whats what on the displays

@synergyhawk Because its alot cheaper and easier to reflow rather than to reball. In addition, you get return customers to have it fixed again down the road.

Why Reflow? it may only last another 3 to 6 month, just take it off and reball so its done better :)
