So you thing the education's goal is only to prepare children to work in the design dpt instead of the shop floor? I think it is much more than that...

But children need guidance in distinguishing good references from trash on the internet...and what about trying to get resources which aren't available online?

But what is creativity, if you don't know anything? I've also seen too emphasis on 'being creative'. It sounds hazy and frankly, it doesn't help. Being creative occurs within a domain of knowledge or artistic skill: it's not a floating attribute that comes from the sky.

Technology should not be touted as a cure-for-all in education if there is no evidence to back up the assertions. There's too much hype over what computers and such like can do for the student.
