@sicumine US Navy total number of F/A-18E/F Super Hornet that are active are 327. However, in 2013 that number will reach 403. Boeing built 500 (F/A-18E/F Super Hornet) in total - Australian Air Force has 24 of them, where the remaining are? Not sure. Now if you are counting the F/A-18A/C Hornets and the F/A-18E/F Super Hornets that the US Navy is flying, then sure, they have 595 in total and that number will be 698 in 2013! With the new cuts to US military, all that will change now.

@TheKifinas really ever heard of france, gb, germany, belgium, south korea, saudia arabia, israel, turkey, italy, poland, austrailia, and hunting down the taliban and al queda is not simply who has the best of this and that, we can kill as many of regular members of both without doing much of a dent, we guage our success on how many of their leaders we have killed or imprisoned, which is alot, osama bin laden, the men behind the uss cole, and one of bin laden's top officers

@TheKifinas the chechnya's are rebels who dont have an airforce and the conflict with georgia lasted 5 days, and russia's performance in the chechyan conflicts is nothing to brag about, and who will attack the us if the us and russia go to war, china, india, both of those countries would grow alot stronger with russia and the us outta the way, plus we already have bases around the world and we have more friends

Really for all those who say if usa fights with russia and win or the opposite He must be stupid . A country that is attacking another country must have available 2 or 3 times bigger army to take out that country . Well usa has double to triple equipment than Russia but if they bring all of their equipment or even half it will be a target of other countries resulting to a clear defeat of usa . or Russia if it happens to her ..

@TheKifinas really cause according to russian commanders they will have about 60 in service by 2020, and no stealth aircraft donot get mass produced, not only does the us have a design for their 6th gen fighter but the prototype is under construction, and will be in service sometime after 2025, and like i said its not the planes it the men flying them and servicing them, yeah planes need to land eventually we have more ground crews and ours have real world experience

@packr72 You do not know how many sam's are deployed in russia .. The t-50 will be mass produced and by 2020 Russia will probably have 300 aircrafts . And then start the development on 6th gen fighter ..

@TheKifinas the t50 wont be operational until 2018, by maybe 2030 the russians will have about 300, but by then the us would have moved onto 6th gen fighters, the f22s dont have techincal issues, their the best fighter money can buy that's why their expensive, totally invisible to radar, while the t50 is more visable than even the f117, the usaf and navy have over 12,000 operational aircraft, CHECK MATE, it's russia that wouldnt survive an air war against the usaf and navy
