Walter is really intelligent but I bet he doesn't know is talking to an important island protector. ..

@PlasticFunnel Oh I just noticed this response. There's no hidden meaning. It's just a cameo. It isn't Hurley and they're smoking because Walter smokes weed. There are several references with Walter about drugs, mostly lsd and weed. He probably smelled it or something, then joined him where he discovered Bell's office.

@PlasticFunnel Walter learns about William Bell's office where he spends 2 hours discovering his old research files. Walter intends to use the idea of "soul magnets", microscopic devices that can be ingested by a person to call forth the soul of another. Walter believes Bell had arranged for someone in the prime universe to be his vessel and Olivia turns out to be that vessel when Walter activates the "soul magnets." Bell's consciousness is revived though Olivia until the end of episode 19.

@jamesrchoi I wish that fringe and lost are in the same universe :)

can't light a bowl with a zippo

The sad part is that I had never seen Lost before watching this episode, so the effect was lost (ha) on me. However, after watching the whole series of Lost, this scene suddenly seems so much more awesome.

Best Walter moment ever!

No way... It's Hurley and Lord Denethor getting baked... No wonder the White Tree never had any blossoms on it...
