Texas songwriting legend Ray Wylie Hubbard talks about the title of his new album, how some of the songs came to be and Drunken Poet co-writer Hayes Carll. This album has been #1 on the Americana Charts, even reclaiming the spot from fake alcoholic has-been washed-up singer-songwriter Bad Blake. They couldn't come up with a better fake name???
One of the sweetest men! Saw him Dec. '09 and Dec. '10 at Armadillo Christmas Bizarre here in Austin. Walked up to him both times, kissed him on the cheek, told him I loved him! Told him one of my faves is 'Real Trick' and he said he hasn't sang it in awhile and that he'll relearn it. =) This is an AWESOME album, btw, as are all his albums. Lucas rocks on the guitar, great kid. Thanks for posting this, Piggylou!
