The W Hotel opened its doors to the punk world for the Punk's Not Dead after party. The documentary which screened at the SF International Film Fest, follows punk through the last 30 years, ultimately raising questions on the state of punk music. The after party featured a performance by the Germs (fronted by Shane West), while punk's elite roamed the crowed: Fat Mike of NOFX, former Foo Fighter Pat Smear and Lars Frederiksen of Rancid.

  • hate punk rock documentary videos they all talk bout the same shit.

i dont need someone to be tellin me what punk rock is mann.

evrybodys got theyre own perspectives on it.

  • Punk was barely sold before appearing. Now punk is all about fashion.

True punk still exist, but it's not the one shown in the film.

    This is my view.

  • Fuck Fat Mike.

  • @dakotagonz

Johnny Rotten isn't the head figure of punk or punk rock.I love intellectual punk rock bands that actually present solutions like Bad Religion,NoFX, Anti-Flag, Flatliners, Rise Against, Strike Anywhere etc.And that's why i have always hated Johnny Rotten b/c all he does is bitch and complain instead of doing something like Fat Mike (Rock Against Bush), Greg Graffin (self-explanatory), Anti-Flag (Military Free Zone, assist in Amnesty International, Democracy Now etc.),Rise Against

  • @BradyA1124 i'm not sure what vids you saw but i listen to a very very wide range of music.. some of it i listen to very seriously and some of it i casually observe it, i dont really lock myself into a genre, i think that might be your misconception. also, i listen to a WIDE range of hardcore.. from Blood For Blood, Chain of Strength, Agnostic Front style bands (i played drums in an oi band).. to Refused, Strife, Biohazard, Raised Fist type bands...to Glassjaw, Everytime I Die. Don't be so elite

  • @BradyA1124 you had a variety of vids on your page, I saw some of your heavier vids. your heavy stuff was screamo piss. not the least bit interesting or original.

i'll put up any real hardcore band over the weak piss you listen to. real hardcore doesn't need a bunch of processed distorted vocals, those guys actually drank to much to get those gutteral voices instead of the effeminate wussies you listen to.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork I ... GUARANTEE ... we can go toe to toe on music. Guarantee.

  • this is the lamest doc ever. watch american hardcore instead.

  • @BradyA1124 you don't even know what hardcore music is.

  • I realized punk was dead when I saw Johnny Rotten in a butter commercial.

  • as much as u hate to say it, punk rock is fuckin dead. thank the mainstream
