Vacation

A fictionalized documentary by Cody Swanson. Staring Carlos and Mary.

My two friends and I took a weekend away from the city and I filmed a majority of our trip with only a slight idea of what I'd do with the footage. I filmed breakfasts, a party, a hike, etc. Only a handful of scenes was "directed" and everything else was, more or less, taken out of context. Sometimes they didn't know I was filming and often they'd just ignore me.

This was an experiment and I'm pleased with how it came out considering there was no external audio recording, and it was shot handheld with all natural light.
