  • @mrjemes B is Engine Braking.. so when you're on long down hill decent you can activate "B" to use engine braking to further boost battery power.

It's like a JakeBrake. The Prius rolls very very well and will gain speed quickly on steep declines. This is a great thing, for not using any energy in those situations but the system in drive only applies little drag by way of regenerative breaking system. B will slow and control speed much more, and regenerate more electricity as well. I hypermile so it's not efficient for me, Max in my 2011 is 66mpg so far, there is more potential though.

Yes. It really isn't that far from other 1.8 liter 4 cyls out there. I came from big bore 2.4ltr 370hp 405tq Mazdaspeed3 and power wise it's a huge difference, but for driving around, keeping up in traffic, mountains... everything, It's all you need, Love mine.

  • u answer my question about the key being in the car so u can drive it... thank u so muc

  • Can it climb hill like other cars? LOL

  • @mrjemes It stands for Engine Braking (not the battery that he mentioned in the video). It's useful when you go downhill with the prius.

  • What is the "B" ?!

  • cool! :)
