It´s out there and It´s name is "Puzzle cache #1" (GC2T1GE)

How it looks now that it is ready: http://imageshack.us/f/713/img0106qx.jpg/
It is cleverly hidden so that it can not be found by accident. unless you see a geocacher find it.

This is the first one i have made.

There is only 64 possible codes and one of them is right, so it's quite easy.

  • can i ask for any circuit diagrams, as im looking for a way to drive a solenoid from an arduino for my own cache :)

  • @daemonic79 Simply put, it's only a battery to the electromagnet and a switch between. the switch in this case is the knobs that have four different possibilities

  • @B0neyn Cheers for the info, I will power mine via a transistor from the arduino. Can you give me any info on the solenoid, as im having trouble trying to find a low voltage pull solenoid similar to yours?

  • @daemonic79 sorry. i just found it laying around so i know nothing about it. i use two 9 volt battery to power it. 18 volt total.

  • dude that may scare people good luck.

  • @dnave21 maybe in the us...

here in sweden after 8 months it is still there and everyone loved it.

  • It wil be seen as a bomb...

  • I would honestly shit a brick if I found that and didn't know what it was. It is a cool idea but be careful where you put it. I huge piece of private property (where owners know it there of corse) where only a cacher would come across it would be safe.
