Again. Tartan and the belted plaid are wonderful parts of Scotland's heritage and culture but it is not the be all and end all of it. A minority in Scotland wore it and even less wore tartan the majority of Scots wore trousers. "what's left". The same as any other nation history, music, language, art, and accents.
