  • nice :D

  • i think when well marketed and if many magazine & newspaper companies decide to release e-versions of their publications, it will save a crap loada paper. i'd get it cos i think newspapers are huge and quite awkward to hold. thats just what i think.

  • @melgarifico323

In about two years items like this will be extraordinary. Fast internet connection via WiMax, ability to read/send email, text and perhaps even place/receive calls -- in addition to all the stuff that's there right now.

Just not enough there yet for me to add yet another device to my list of things (cell phone, laptop, iPod, etc.).

  • @mikedrud i agree with all 5 charecteristics

the only one i would disagree is with the size of smartbookor kindle or iphone not when you want to

    watch pictures or especially videos

majority of people would want a bigger screen in my opinion. you know what they should concentrate for the price they will be selling it they should give you tons of memory and disk space i'm talking in the terabytes for disk space.

  • it looks pretty coo.l my concerns are the bugs that would have to be fixed just like every other apple product that comes out.

  • Possibly, but the first company to deliver this wins:

    1. eReader

    2. Access to web

    3. Ability to email/text

    4. a phone

    5. Size of a smartbook or Kindle or even iPhone

You give the world that... you have a multi-billion dollar all-in-one product I would buy tomorrow.

The tablet is cool but not necessary IMO. For gadget-philes, by all means, get it and have fun. For the rest of us, wait and get an all-in-one that is certainly on the horizon from some major manufacturer.

  • Ha! Famous last words.

  • Yes, fake was the wrong word. Just wrong is more like it. It goes completely left of Apple's current design direction. The UI is just...off. And the single button goes against Apple's trend of rounded solid interface. For nearly the last decade, Apple has had rounded keys or completely circular power/home keys.

The demo was smooth, yes, aside from the awkwardly photoshopped hands, and that it was focused on sports. It would have been more effective demonstrating a design related magazine........

  • Too big for most people other than Apple freaks to carry around. Not mocking it, just thinking it won't be a big hit.

    Smaller is better.
