lmao.... Wikipedia wont help u much my friend.... that was called a kilt... but it was a PLAID kilt... one piece of cloth.... we have modern meanings for the word 'kilt' now. but in the 16th century... a kilt was a piece of cloth... that was your bedding and clothing !! untill the new designs were made in late 18th century, which was just the bottom half of the traditional ''plaid kilt'' ;)
i can be wrong, but its a FACT that the odern 'kilt' was at most a late 18th century/early 19th century design,
taken from the plaid kilt (one big piece of cloth) which was the traditional dress.
and also because im 99.9% Scottish.... it sure helps when talking to non scottish or 5th generation ''scottish decendants'' lol ... i know my heritage and im passionate about it. The day an American knows more about my culture is the day i will become English !
The modern kilts of today are nothing like what my ancerstors wore, the first noted clothing was by early Celts and Picts in which they wore a singled colored piece of wool, the first kilts were near the end of 16th century
