How about the soundtracks of Catherine, Touhou, Fate/Stay Night, and many many other recent games with great music?
Even Persona's music, despite not being all that special (usually) is very fitting for the game's style.
Still, listen to Battle for Everyone's Souls or The Almighty and I'm sure you will enjoy them.

@TheRoomy I'm sorry, but i disagree... I Cherish as much a you do the music from older games... those songs are close to be masterpieces, but you can't disregard the soundtrack from newer games... i love the persona series soundtrack, it's really well fitted in every moment of the game, and it's really catchy xD You can feel the emotion that's behind every track, truly amazing in my opinion. Remember that generaliation, nullifies all argument so try to avoid doing it xD

@TheRoomy Wow, way to overgeneralize. There's tons of new games coming out every year and some of them have truly brilliant soundtracks. I'm not denying the old classics are good, but to look at one song and describe an entire generation with it makes you look narrow-minded.

Video game music went from Mega Man 2, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, etc. to.... this. No wonder nobody remembers music from new games or orchestrates them with symphonies to have thousands of people hear it live. This is crap. Nobody's gonna know this song when they're old, but I'll always remember and always have the incredible emotional response to Earthbound or FF6's music.
