This is my review of the Fiio E5 Headphone amplifier. I really like this product and I'm very pleased with the sound quality. If you are used to increase volume of a song with a software you usually get some kinds of distortion when it plays the bass, but the E5 does not give any distortions, just plain quality. So basically what it does is that it increases the volume of your media player. You can use any media player you want with it, it has a 3.5 mm audio input and there are 2 cables included. • you know that sound ur speakers make when your cell phone is next to them? all the crackling and popping? Well if you plan on using this..get used to it. this item is NOT magnetically shielded. This is a HUGE and i mean HUGE F*CKEN problem if u use iem.

  • @DavidOv54367 Hmm, I have not experienced that. I am around big electronics all the time when I'm using it and I get a 100% clarity, it could be that you have a different version, or maybe yours is broken?

The one I have works as well as it could, so far, after about 2 months of use, I have not experienced any problems at all.

  • good review, and i thnk im gonna get it. But only one question, is the rechargable battery lithum? I hope not cause i cant get that shipped overseas..... :S ty for helping me out man

  • @iSpire12 Yes, unfortunately it is lithium. But I think if you buy it on amazon in your country (I'm in Denmark so I go to amazon.dk) then I think it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your comment, hope I helped :-)

  • @TheZetReviewer Thanks for the help man, they arived today, very pleased. time to blast the dubstep ;D

  • @iSpire12 Very nice :) I would appreciate it if you could subscribe to my channel. Glad to be at help.

  • U r supposed to use if for headphones that require more ohms to drive the headphones

  • whats a wallume?

  • Perfect applications for this : Nintendo DS, and Some smartphones that have the same volume as a DS i.e. Huawei ascend. lol

  • @rioamericanosucks i've paird the Fiio to iem's ranging in price from $8.99 to $399.99. Therefore i can safely conclude that NO this doesn't just happen if you " Only if you use cheap headphones"

  • @TheZetReviewer you're very fortunate, i forgot to mention that i used this with my cell phone. other electronics don't cause the interference. Also i have found that the fiio works best with single iem buds.

  • @DavidOv54367 Only if you use cheap headphones with these, also the bass boost is WEAK next time i go off a internet review ima goin to try to find a true bass head
