    These speakers seem to be out of touch with many crucial aspects of the experience of political struggles of dalits in contemporary India or even those originating from their own neighborhoods!

    But ..that is Kannur, where Chithralekha (and many women)has/ have still to struggle just as individuals .One wonders what would these gentlemen have told if asked about the kind of community support Chithralekha and Elizabeth were getting as they fought for their rights?
