Instructor David Richards leads his students through a complete makeover of the landscaping for Roschelle and Chimezei Ogbuji family in one day. Two years ago in 2007 they lost their three young children to an electrical fire at their home which spread through the home quickly killing their children and injuring two babysitters.
Auburn Career Center students in the Landscape Horticulture Career Training Program work on projects in the community outside of the classroom and part of the curriculum and experience. This video truly demonstrates the sincerety of the student, staff and non-profit organizations to make a difference in communities. Projects in every program at Auburn like this are considered an essential part of learning in the 21st century and beyond.
