Actually, I am the patient who produced this self-documentary. The idea of a lawsuit did cross my mind, however the statue of limitations had past due to two more cervical surgeries.
The perforation was not a legitimate risk. The probable cause was when my neck was being stabilized with a halo vest which has 4 "screws" attached to my head. I was being moved up in bed when the plastic vest got stuck to the bed and the screws popped off my head.

I don't want to come off as "sue-crazy", but could this patient file for a malpractice suit since his problem arose from a prior procedure? Was the perforation a legitimate risk that came with the titanium support or was it poorly implanted?
His outcome was really saddening but excellent work nonetheless on finding the cause, Doctor! I need a doctor w/ a keen eye like you to sort my digestive issues out since none of mine seem to find an "apparent" issue after similar procedures.
