Here is a Canadian National land barge which is another word for mile long plus freight trains that the CN was running over the Wisconsin Central prior to them being bought by the CN this would have been about 2001 or so. Anyway this locomotive is pulled by one SD75I and what I think is a SD40F-2 the lead unit is equipped with a standard CN Airchime K3L. This train is passing through Mundelein,Illinois before this entire line became no whistling between Antioch and Franklin Park.

  • Too bad that spur in the foreground isn'i in as much use as before. I remember when there would be 4-8 WC boxcars on that spur every week. nowadays there's only a single boxcar every other week.

  • Notice the first 19 cars are EJ&E

  • The trailing unit would be an SD60F.

  • The Trailing unit is eather a SD50F, or SD60F.
