as a master, I would have to say, after studying martial arts for over 30 years, if you practice one way, you will do it that way in real life. I heard a story about a Canadian mounty trainee who learned basic gun disarming skills and during the class, you disarmed the "bad guy" and then handed the gun back so the class could try again.
I keep trying to find any actual, real, sparring of CKD. I read a lot about the art. The master was all over Black Belt Magazine in the 80s. Now I heard that he doesn't allow his students to spar and forbids them to study any other martial arts. How can you know that what you do will EVER work if you don't spar?
nice Demo with great techneques... Now if only the knew proper ukemi( hard falls). thats the one thing that NEEDS to put taught in their schools, but thats why i think Judo and Choi are a great blend

thats true i've been learning choi and judo and they go great together specially some throws from choi are better replaced by throws from judo

@BushidoCode72 My instructors have no problem with me studying other martial arts but maybe in the uk it is different.
