    Just heard Beardsley interviewed on a runner's academy podcast. The first marathon he ran was the Paavo Nurmi Marathon in Hurley Wisconsin in 1977. That marathon goes past my house, and I was probably on the street cheering when he ran by. Means so much more to me now that after 45 years, I have discovered running and hope to complete the Paavo myself this summer.

    I can't really enter into the mind of a championship marathoner gunning for the win at Boston, but I imagine that those cops would have driven me nuts. Great video, thanks for posting!
