Several students interviewed outside of the Washtenaw Community College Student Center on Friday October 7, 2011. They were asked to give their opinion on the following statement issued on the WCC website:

"Over the past several semesters the College has transitioned from using a mix of paper letters and email to almost exclusively email when notifying students of important updates," said Linda Blakey, associate vice president of Student Services. "It is imperative that students read their WCC email on a regular—which means daily—basis so they don't miss any important deadlines."

It's a text effect called "dictionary" in After Effects that turns random words red. It's stylized and makes text different than all white, but doesn't involve moving text which makes something like this hard to read. It is not emphasizing anything, it's just visual and breaks up the monotony of the white.

  • Why are there random words highlighted in the quote at 30s?
