"The Day We Ran Into The Sea" is a musical memoir that details the raw, universal feelings and experiences we all go through when dealing with break ups and shakes ups, love and loss. Each song on the album has a commercial pop sensibility in line with bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Carpenters and The Corrs. However, Sarah's distinct, haunting vocals portray a more left-field leaning, reminiscent of Beth Gibbons, Regina Spektor, and Kristin Hersh. The album is a mixture of folky, acoustic elements and electric guitars, laced with Celtic elements (contributed to by producer Jon Reynolds, who's worked with the likes of Sinead O'Connor). The album also features sonic contributions from Head (PJ Harvey), Adrian Hall (Sugababes) and Matt Prime (Will Young). Listen to the entire album at http://www.okgoodrecords.com

Paper Aeroplanes is a girl and boy from West Wales who have been making music together for about 4 years now since they met at a rehearsal room in a tiny Welsh village of Llanfyrnach.

Richard Llewellyn grew up on the Welsh coast, listening to late-night Irish Radio stations from across the sea and playing in various famous local bands. He became a talented session musician, touring Europe and the US with various well known bands on bass and acoustic guitars. All this time however, he was writing songs in hotel rooms and learning the craft.

Sarah has been writing songs since she was 13 and roping in any school friend she could find to sing along. Her first real band began shortly after with the help of best friend and neighbour Nia George and two rebellious boys from music class. After several name-changes 'Jylt' toured Universities and had many successes before tragically ending 5 years later when Nia lost an 18 month battle with Leukaemia and left Sarah and the boys devastated and without a purpose.

The desire to make music and play live was too strong to end there though and when Sarah met Richard, it seemed like an easy and obvious choice to start working together. The pair moved to Wales's capital, Cardiff for a new start.

Paper Aeroplanes was born. Early success came with the use of their song When the Light Go Out on an OC trailer in Australia and the Hallmark channel. Their debut album The Day we ran into the sea, is the result of several years writing, producing and spreading the word. The album features productions from the likes of Head (PJ Harvey's long-time collaborator), John Reynolds (Sinead O'Conner, Belinda Carlisle) and Matt Prime (Will Young, Kelly Clarkson, Natalie Imbruglia). With the help of the internet, the band has grown in popularity across the UK, Europe and beyond. With national airplay from BBC Radio 2 and all three singles being playlisted at BBC Radio Wales, the word continues to spread.

More recently Sarah has gained huge international recognition with her dance music collaborations. The track Find Yourself with John O'Callaghan has become a world wide dance floor smash, gaining her fans from Indonesia to Chile, Australia to USA. It's been included on two huge, 'super-market stocked' UK compilations; Paul Van Dyk's Gatecrasher Anthems and Love to Club (alongside remixed tracks by the likes of Black eyed Peas and Lady Gaga); and played out in clubs everywhere by DJ's such as Armin Van Burren and Tiesto.

Paper Aeroplanes continue to write songs about the sea and the city, love and loss, always with personal and emotional experiences at the their core. Lyrics that seem to a uniting force in the fans all over the world. First single Cliche, was largely recorded and produced by the band with additional production from John Reynolds and is a universal story of breaking up and the struggle to move on. With a tongue-in-cheek nod to the fact it's not the first time this sentiment has been expressed. "And though the songs have been sung before" , you'll be singing along to this one.
