This is the same video I uploaded last night. This is the second time I'm trying to upload this version because my computer had a memory crash BSOD during uploading.

Anyway, this is a slideshow of the speakers I got from the swapmeet yesterday. I got a Rockwood 12" sub with strong rubber surrounds, yet it doesn't take much power to move it and get it going (it's coil is freaking strong), and a 15" Thump subwoofer, possibly from the 80's guessing from it's red-blue-green-purple color scheme with those neon pastel shades. I also got a pair of Cerwin Vega! speakers : ).

I uploaded a video last night but I forgot to put the music in, and music makes a slideshow 10x better and actually watchable.

The song is Dorrough - Trunk Bang

The song has a loud and low bassline : ). It hits nice on my new Cerwin Vegas!

As you can see, I also rushed to get the Rockwood into a box, and I haven't turned it up yet, but I think it'll be louder then the Vegas!

But with 45 wpc, you're not gonna get very far no matter what speakers you have, unless they're in a well designed horn enclosure.

I can't believe I have Cerwin Vegas! one foot to the right of me : ). Then a 12" that's actually beyond entry level in a 4 cubic foot ported box @ 29 Hz (according to re-calculations).

I'll have to wait until my mom's gone again to get some footage of the Cerwins and Rockwood slamming, and little bit of the Thump moving in free-air.

I don't have much else to say.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you for watching my video : ).

  • Post some videos if you can, I've moved from that house into an apartment, so the box is gone and I just have the sub sitting around : (.

  • dude no afence but those subs are shity go to sonicelectronicx. c o m they got all u need for a good price just watch my videos

  • I like PartsExpress better.

Really bro, this thing hits hard for the power I'm giving it. It goes really low, down to 25 Hz in a big room.

  • make a video on how u setup like wat the speakers r amped to or w/e

  • Sure thing man, I got them setup weird and it might be useful to other people : ).

    Thanks for the idea!

  • i found two of those subs in my dads closet and i hooked one up in my car and it sounds better than my kicker, im running a crunch p1400.2 and 4 6x9s with a crunch p900.4

  • @31Orcas in that spec your big room will sound like a auditorium even better than auditorium actually

  • @31Orcas np dude i really wanted to see how it is :)

  • No... the cheap VR3 subs (not in this vid) don't like this box.

The pale copper colored sub in this vid, is currently in the 4 cu. ft. box. 4 cubes is just right for this sub! I'm getting insane house flex off of 90 watts... and my receiver is only stable to 8 ohms and the sub is 4 ohms, so if I had a better receiver... I can't even fathom what this sub would do to the house if I had a better amp. It's a lot louder than the Cerwin's.
