Sodium Bisulfite is produced via the addition of sulfur dioxide to sodium hydroxide. The SO2 is produced by burning sulfur which is then bubbled into a solution of NaOH, and bubbled into another solution of NaOH that is being magnetically stirred by a homemade magnetic stirrer.
S + O2 to SO2
SO2 + NaOH = NaHSO3

I would like to thank the Alpha and Omega Point Person for you! I have been searching ALL OVER trying to make this stuff from scratch. I don't like shopping and yes, learning how to not need anyone is a good thing.
I speak in addition to me talking about slow car stickers, THE BOX, saying such to others always, publishing to others such, and no hard schedules or quotas at work. Again, thanks for this great stuff. (sorry to sound verboise).

@kclo4x Well, sure you can just go and buy it, but it's more fun to experiment. What kind of progress in Science & Technology would the world have if the world had a mindset like yours?

Wow talk about a waste of time... Don't you know you can get this stuff for pretty cheap at any brewery or something like that at least.... and especially online?
I mean it is cool, and I guess if you needed it that day it is good, but if you need lots, just buy it.
Anyways, I like the set up! very nice :)
