Screaming by myself late night as the kids and wife sleep as four minutes turn from agony to ecstacy. Incredible when Deron Williams hit the trey for the tie. Goosebumps city just watching now.

@joeblow166 they lost by 5 and with like 30 seconds left luther head had a 3 to tie it lol its not like they were killed. And UNC's team was an all time great as well, so UNC and Illinois 2005 team's were two of the best teams of all time

What was really cool about the 2005 season was the comeuppance Illinois received at the hands of the vastly superior North Carolina Tarheels, the 2005 NCAA champions. It amuses me to no end how deluded Illini fans consider this team so special, considering their big fat flop in the finals. Can't be one of the best teams of all time without winning the big one. Them's the facts, chumps.
