Mafia Island - Mange islet view

Snorkelling (and Novice diving) is done at Juani Islet (the rocks at the end of the bay) very shallow (especially at low tide) and very pretty. Lots of small fish, occasionally some larger snappers as well. Good snorkelling also in front of Chole Island (only at low tide) no big fish but very pretty and very close to the hotel. Tutia down in the South is a full day trip (1.5 days in the dhow). Nice dive at the back of the Sandbank. (Tutia is a sand bank exposed at low tide) and good shallow 10m) second dive at the front of the bank. The front of the bank. The front of the bank also has fantastic snorkelling with simple beach access. Picnic on the beach. Dive sites excellent for coral reef but poor fish variety. Well worth a trip just to see the Sandbank typically Indian Ocean picture post card, truly fantastic! Similar site at Mange reef further west.
