Wow, don't know what's wrong with you people but to me, a cop for 27 years, one of us goes down we all suffer. We don't air our dirty laundry on a site the public can read. Not right. It breaks the line and you people have a lot to learn about lossing one of our own. Since there was no video I don't if that has something to do with it but I'm embarrassed to be affiliated with any of you as a cop.  And I don't care if you check my spelling.

If you don't like cops just dont call them when you need them, people like you make me sick, have some respect, and I love how people like you hide behind their keyboards and talk shit honestly if there is somethig wrong with the criminal justice system you don't like do something about it and stop bitching. @dennisjustin120 I didn't say there was anything wrong with the video at all. In fact in is one of the most moving that I have seen. It's about the negative comments from when this thread first started that brought out the agency's "dirt laundry" and gave the appearance that there was something wrong with this situation. Like 4-5 years ago when I went back to read all of this from the beginning. Sorry I misunderstood.

johnnyboy6473: My attitude rises from when ALL of us don't  circle the wagons when one of us goes down. We allow people to denigrate the badge by calling us scum, dopers, rapists, etc. We do it to the downed officer w/ what did they do wrong. Officers make mistakes, even break the law. Yes, but that doesn't make us all that way. I continue to respect the public & learn something everyday. The wisdom that has come with 28+ years serves me & my dept. well. Why it took you a year makes me think.

@aso125 let me tell you something we've all lost people close to us. I have a brother who is a k-9 officer in N.C. I feel for you because of the shit each and every officer takes from Portland Maine to Portland Oregon,but you can drop the "you people bullshit" it's insulting. After 27 yrs of service I thank you for that, you need to retire with an attitude like that for the very people you protect.

As an Officer I hate the fact that some have had bad experinces with police but to come on here and bad mouth a man that would have laid his life down for you with no questions asked.. is horrible.. that's the difference between boys and men instead of downing someone like these heros just don't say nothing at all...may god bless their familes and those who don't want us there
