I sold my car a year ago and never looked back. I live in a city nowhere near as dense as Hong Kong but the expense and liability of a car simply isn't worth it when public transit is readily available. Mandatory insurance laws make it unviable. It's a shame our cities are being built to accommodate cars and not pedestrians.

You would think that such a strategically located place with one of the highest densities in the world like Hong Kong would have solved such an issue as efficient mass transit systems. But no, everyone needs to emulate Western ideals and own a goddamned car, now don't they??? If you follow these silly models, such as everyone trying to possess his or her own car, then you are surely doomed! Wouldn't it be pragmatic and more economical to implement public transit for all classes in Hong Kong?
