October25, 2011 - A "PRO-PEACE, ANTI-WAR ACTION" mass rally was successfully launched last October 24 at the historic camp of legendary Moro hero Amai Pakpak, now known to many as Lanao People's Park and Public Library and which was once designated as KM. 0.0 or as the reference point for the entire Mindanao.

Thousands of people from all walks of life joined and participated in condemning the Filipino warmongers and corporate media outlets like ABS-CBN that are instigating an all-out war against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Bangsamoro people in general.

An all-out war against the MILF is being demanded by Filipino politicians, military officials and the Philippine media in the wake of the Basilan battle on October 18 where 22 (MILF figure is 31) soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Special Forces were killed in a fierce encounter with MILF mujahideen.

Agakhan "Binladin" M. Sharief, lead organizer, appealed to President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino not to heed the call of those who want another all-out war in Mindanao.

"War will never solve the Mindanao Problem; this has been proven ineffective and horrifying," explained by Agakhan Sharief. He also blamed the AFP for having violated the ceasefire agreement that led to the soldiers' deaths in Basilan.
A lady speaker from Nor Fatima Global Women's Network appealed for sobriety and calmness and thanked President Aquino for his pro-peace policy and reminded him that women are the most vulnerable victims of war.

"In war there is no victor, only suffering and waste of lives and money," said the lady who refused to be identified for security reasons.

The highlight of the rally is the burning of posters of Senators Enrile, Lacson and Estrada, Rep. Rudolfo Biazon and former President Joseph 'Erap' Estrada who were all tagged as war criminals by the protesters for their previous involvement in the Martial Law regime of the late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos and the 2000 all-out war in Mindanao and Sulu. The posters of ABS-CBN TV-PATROL hosts Noli de Castro, Ted Failon and Korina Sanches were also torched. The crowd was cheering "Hang Them!" and made the thumbs down sign to ABS-CBN for the bias reporting of its reporters and for adding fuel to the fire in the already volatile situation.

Organizers also appealed to all concerned Moros to boycott ABS-CBN and ban their reporters from entering Bangsamoro areas. They vowed to file petitions before the MTRCB against the said network for sensationalizing the Basilan incident to arouse anti-Moro and anti-Muslim passions among the Filipinos.

Meanwhile, Mohammad D. Salahuddin of FREE THE BANGSAMORO MOVEMENT and one of the lead organizers expressed his organization's commendation of the MILF for the political maturity and restraint that its leadership has shown in the face of full-scale provocation and nationwide demonization in these past few days since the Basilan incident broke out. Despite provocation, the MILF leaders have consistently held on to the primacy of the peace process.

"We also appeal to the International community to Intervene and investigate the recent movements of some elements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines conducting military operations with complete disregard for the MILF-GPH ceasefire agreement and its established mechanisms that has resulted in loss of lives and destruction to property," said Salahudin.
