Dear Thorralf: Thank you for posting this for the people that are interested in the music.I'm going to take a workshop in a month. Your information is very useful for me. I would like to ask you some questions: 1. do we need to have the long stick in the spoons?. 2. Is this a different shape from the normal wooden spoons? Have a nice week.
Thank you very much.

Hi Elisa,
It depends on your origin. To turkish people the shape is very common. Medieval wooden spoons from Germany i.e. are too thick... You have to look for wooden spoons with thin handles... The stick (better handle) should have a size of 15-20cm... normal wooden spoons from Turkey so to speak ;)
Hope to have been a good to you...

No - That's me - I told that Murat had shown me the way to play them - which obviously is a difference ;)
As I am a member of Tamburi Mundis staff I know that he looks different... all the best
