Don't miss my other anthems! So far, the parodies for the UK (twice), Canada, Germany, Norway, France, the US, Russia, Italy, Sweden, China, Japan, Israel, North Korea, Australia and many more have been released.

Hatikvah (Hebrew: הַתִּקְוָה‎, lit. The Hope) is the national anthem of Israel. The anthem was written by Naphtali Herz Imber, a secular Galician Jew from Zolochiv, who moved to the Land of Israel in the early 1880s.

When the State of Israel was established in 1948, Hatikvah was unofficially proclaimed the national anthem. However, it did not officially become the national anthem until November 2004, when it was sanctioned by the Knesset in an amendment to the Flag and Coat-of-Arms Law.

I mean no offense to the countries parodied. In fact, most of these countries are my favorites, and I wish them all my best. I have nothing against the Hebrew people or Jews in general; in fact, I admire them and their history. Israel is admittedly not on any of my top lists of nations I like, but they are indisputably the most democratic and financially functioning nation in the region and deserve credit for that.

Regrettably, a typo snuck its way into the movie, but it's too late to do anything about it now, and I think we can all live with it.

-----

I do not promise anything, but if you want me to make a parody of YOUR national anthem, your country could be next, given that it is a nation of some international or historical significance. Requests should be made as comments to my videos; i check my PM inbox less often!

  • @MESSI3576 A glass. Search for "jewish wedding" and/or "breaking of the glass", and you will learn about it.

  • even if you like it or not, thdubya, are you in favour the existance of the state of israel?

  • @ThDubya is that why you won't make one for Egypt

  • @sherifahassan No. I haven't done it yet since I don't like the melody and don't like to talk about nations that are in the media, since peple will think I have made the song for that reason. If I ever make an Egyption or Greek anthem (which I very likely might), they will NOT contain any references at all to 2010/2011 incidents.
