  • mwongo na mulosi (mchawi) ni watu wa kuchoma. Ngoma hii nzuri sana

  • Lovers of African rumba let's celebrate the life of the master this week bcoz it will be the 22nd anniversary since he plucked the last string of the guitar. Frm Nairobi, Dar, Kampala, Kin, Joburg, Cape Town, Lusaka, Harare, Kigali, Maputo, Luanda, Lagos, Abuja, Accra, Abidjan, Conakry, Dakar all th way 2 Tripoli, Algiers, Cairo, Khartoum, Addis then 2 Antananarivo n Seychelles via Mombasa. Amusez-vous bien. Vive Franco. Vive TPOK. Vive la belle musique africaine

  • Don't follow/listen to them...just do what you are doing. When you are in trouble pray to God, God will alwas listen to you.

Lwambo's is not a fluent Swahili.

Those who know Lingala will pick up from there.

I remember the song was in response to those who were spreading that Lwambo had HIV.

  • Mwongo na Mulozi ni watu wa kuchoma: A liar and a witch deserve to be burnt

Kujulikana kuna taabu mwana mboka: to be a celebrity is a headache, my fellow country man!

Ukiwa gentil kama (?Mushedo) wanashangaa: If you are kind and gentle like (Mushedo?) they are struck with surprise

Lwambo: Rafiki yake analia wewe Mangwana: (Sam) Mangwana is crying for his friend (supposedly Lwambo)

Usiwafate endelea jamani, ukipata taabu omba kwa Mungu, na Mungu paka yeye milele na milele- to be contd

  • Dear all, let's do a service to Africa. Just take a few minutes to translate any song that appears here. Many people in the world at least will get introduced to African music and that will lead to many other things. Each one, according to the language she/he knows. I will start here though only on the few words in Swahili. This song I believe is about people involved in rumour mills-kusemasema walisema tumechoka: They have said a lot (about Lwambo) that we are tired- to be continued...

  • Thanks to Franco n Sam,bringing Africa together,a great combo of Lingala,French and Swahili!I love the Congolese accent in their Swahili :)

  • Classic soukous. Is Sam Mangwana still going strong? So many have gone-Franco, Dr Nico, Grand Kalle etc. Precious legacy.
