  • @petersz98 well with the 10, 11% of business that RBS conducted in Scotland at the time, Scotland would of bailed it out with ease. Here is another one for you the GDP of Scotland in 2008 was 145 billion.... Now the cost of RBS and HBOS bail out was 66 billion so even if Scotland was to pay for the full, it could of been done easily.

  • @petersz98 No its "noble men" were bust, not Scotland. England put up a naval blockade of Scotland, and refused to trade with Scotland's new colony. They also made sure no other nations traded with Scotland during the Scottish expedition it was doomed from the start due to English meddling, When they offered the treaty they garrisoned the border between Scotland and England with a HUGE army that was prepared to invade nd all noble men were offered large sums of gold, their was never a vote on it

  • @TheComradeRoss

The act of union between England and Scotland happened because Scotland went bankrupt. An attempt to create a malaria infested colony in Panama went disastrously wrong and the Scots had to be rescued by the English. Ever since then Scotland has flourished and even most Scots don't want independence. Suppose Scotland was independent when RBS went bust. Who would have to foot the bill for a Scottish bank?

  • @petersz98 And.....? so what if RBS took over other banks....RBS is run with more than 80% of its business was conducted in England, Making it a primarily English bank.

David Cameron was more involved than Salmond, i know this. Also Scotland never was bankrupt its "noble" men were, they were bribed in to saying YES their was no vote nothing. Now you need to go away and beil yer heed as you have no clue.

  • @TheComradeRoss

RBS took over the English Bank NatWest, Ulster Bank and others in a reckless expansion policy. Its headquaterted in Scotland so its a Scottish Bank. Alex Salmond was heavily involved in its and his meglomaniacal ambitions to create a Scottish Empire. Just like in 1707 when Scotland went bankrupt over its attempt to create a colony in Panama and lost nearly all its gold and had to be rescued by the English.

  • @petersz98 The RBS bank isnt a Scottish bank.... it conducted less than 11% f its business in Scotland so we would take around 11% of the debt. The only thing Scottish about RBS is the name plate :) so in fact it would be around 6 billion we would take of that debt, which could be payed of easily in a Scottish economy (fact)

  • @TheComradeRoss

Scotland will have to pay back £60 billion for the failure of RBS and Bank of Scotland. It would have gone bankrupt had it been independent.

  • Alex Salmond is a traitor. He should be put to death!

  • @dobledragon666 We will be Independent in 2014 my friend

    Saor Alba Gu Brath
