My grandfather: Japanese in Brazil 100 years

This is the short tale of an young japanese engineer graduated at the Kyushu University and his trip to Brazil in 1932.

There are some rare images from the Kyushu University Labs and other parts of Japan in the 1920s, scenes from the trip Santos Maru trip in 1932, and much more.

I don know much about theses photos. If you recognize people or places, please leave a comment.

Great history. Very sorry your grand father couldn´t to live in Brazil many and many years for help build this country. My respect and admiration for the Japanese people. Now in all São Paulo State lots of brazilians restaurants serve sushi, sashimi, yaksoba, raw fish with sauce, sakê drink.... near the pinga, feijoada, churrasco, etc... An extraordinary blend of cuisine and culture. Arigatô, Nippon!!
