Mariah Carey vs. Leona Lewis VOCAL BATTLE (Note by Note Range: Live)

NO HATEFUL COMMENTS ALLOWED PLEASE

I compared these two simply because they are great singers and have a similar tone (plus no one did a video for this yet)

  • This just shows that they are both amazing talents, not to be compared at any time... we should just appreciate them both.

  • @3allOonz "The One" by Mariah Carey (Charmbracelet)

  • Whats the nane of the last song?

  • mariah wins

  • Absolutely, but that doesn't change the fact that Mariah has cited Whitney as an influence on more than one occasion.

  • Yes, but I think the similarities we hear between MC and WH exist mostly on her (MC's) earlier work, when her career was controlled mainly by her bosses, indicating that it wasn't so much that Mariah aspired to be like Whitney, but that they did.

  • It can be. Mariah also said in 2005, "None of us would sound the same if Aretha Franklin hadn't put out a record or Whitney Houston hadn't." In 2002, she said about Whitney, "She's been a big influence on me and I consider her a friend. I want her to be happy."

  • what's the difference

  • Inspired is not the same as influenced.
