12 electric fan made by The General Electric Co Ltd, Witton England. This came from a time when GEC branded their domestic products Freezor. Beautifully made fan, this was when GEC had started making fans of their own design and not licensed copies of GE fans, as with the GEC pancakes. Note the commutator. This fan does not need a starter winding but runs on AC. The design and construction are quite dated for 1924, GE were using pressed steel and not cast iron at this date. They adopted a smoother base the year after. The heavy cast iron and pinstriped paintwork give it a high quality feel. One of the best looking fans I own
