This is actually one of the best videos of sailing I have seen, Keeping the camera on one view for the majority of the time helped the viewer comprehend the seas and situation. Well done, Could this be someone I know out of King harbor I knew many years ago?

Did he have a mailsail by the time he got to Kona? Leave early, get through the channels. A nice breeze for a blue water boat.

damn. how many knots were you making?

Wow, I wish I was on board. Hope it was warm. I'm working on a mechanical sailboat for my art show. Imagine being beat up and then go home to a warm bed:)

If the dude were in heavier weather I doubt we'd have this video to view. That camera would be all over the place!!

Thanks for the comment.. it was difficult holding the camera still, most people don't realize :) My name is Michele and I'm out of Marina del Rey... I do visit King Harbor often... did you hear about the sardines in KH a few weeks ago? So many came in they died from lack of oxygen... we have a lot of them in MDR as well. Happy sailing!

The Pearson Triton was a Carl Alberg design. Low freeboard like the Cape Dorys and Morgan 34. Designed for blue water heave weather sailing.

Is that my old Triton "Graceful" hull # 693 from SF Bay?

Could be... my friend bought the boat in Hawaii, I believe it may have been from someone that sailed it there from CA?
